Why ReversePath exists

The DPDP Act applies to almost every business that handles personal data in digital form, with no turnover threshold. Most of them are small, have no data-protection lawyer, and are not short of people offering a certificate. ReversePath starts from the other end: what does your business actually do with data, what is missing, and what would show it is fixed?

01How it works

The questions are written for eight sectors and ask about practice, not law. The answers go through fixed, published rules to produce controls, gaps, severity, a roadmap and starter documents. The same answers always give the same result. The rules are here.

No artificial-intelligence service is called, at any point, and nothing you enter in the free check leaves your browser unless you save it.

The question bank and the guides are drafts awaiting review by a qualified data-protection lawyer. Every result and guide says so until that review is complete.

02What it will not claim
  • i

No certificates. No result is a certificate of compliance, and no government body approves any of them.

  • ii

Results say how far they go. Self-Assessed, Evidence-Supported or Expert-Verified, and an Expert-Verified result always states its reviewer, date and scope.

  • iii

No invented proof. This site shows no customer logos, testimonials or usage figures. When there are real ones, they will be shown with permission.

03Who runs it
