Terms of use

Version 1, effective 2 October 2026. Draft awaiting legal review.

These terms have details still to be completed before launch. They are highlighted.

Who these terms are with

ReversePath is provided by [PLACEHOLDER: legal name of the operating entity], [PLACEHOLDER: registered address] (“we”). By using the site or creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent.

What ReversePath is

ReversePath is guidance software. It helps an organisation assess its readiness under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Rules made under it, track remediation and hold evidence. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer and client relationship.

No result, report or state shown by ReversePath is a certificate of compliance, and none is issued or approved by any government body. A Self-Assessed or Evidence-Supported result reflects only what your organisation entered. An Expert-Verified result records a named reviewer’s decisions on the controls listed, on the date shown, and nothing more.

Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself. Each person needs their own login.
  • The account owner decides who is a member and can close the account at any time.
  • You are responsible for what your organisation enters and uploads. Do not upload your customers’ personal data as evidence; upload policies, clauses and screenshots, redacted where needed.
  • Do not use the site to break the law, to attack it, or to access another organisation’s data.

Paid plans

Paid plans and verified assessments are bought by invoice. A plan runs for the term stated from the date payment is recorded and does not renew automatically. A verification credit is used when a review is requested and returned if the request is cancelled before a reviewer takes it. Prices exclude GST.

Your data

Your organisation’s content stays yours. We use it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy notice. When the account is closed we erase it, except invoices, which tax law requires us to keep.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. The question bank and guides change as the law and its interpretation change; each assessment records the content version it used. If we change these terms, the new version will show its date here.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of the guidance, or for penalties imposed on your organisation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions about them can be sent through the contact page.
